Every guide on the site is general information. It describes how a rule or a procedure ordinarily works, not how it applies to a particular dispute. Reading the site does not create any professional relationship, and no page should be relied on in place of advice from a licensed Mississippi lawyer. Limitation periods and procedural requirements are strict and can end a claim, so anyone facing a real deadline should seek advice promptly.

Guides cite the source they rely on. The primary sources used across the site are the Mississippi Code as published by the state and republished by legal reference services, the rules of court published by the Mississippi Judiciary at courts.ms.gov, material published by the Mississippi Bar, and publications of federal agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Where a figure or a deadline comes from a statute, the section number is given so a reader can verify it. Where a statement is a description of practice rather than a legal requirement, it is written as such.

Corrections and editorial policy

Corrections are welcome and are made when a primary source supports them. A correction request should identify the page and the sentence concerned. When a guide is amended, the substance of the change is reflected in the page. The magazine does not accept payment, sponsorship or any other consideration to describe a party, a firm, a court or an outcome in a particular way, and it publishes no advertising.

Hosting and data

The site is served as static pages from Cloudflare's network. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. It collects no personal data and has no comment system or account. When a reader sends an email, the reader shares only what is written in the message, and the editorial team uses it only to read and answer the request. The photographs on the site are illustrations produced for the magazine. They show typical Mississippi scenes and places, and they do not depict a specific person, case, party or event. No photograph on the site is presented as evidence of any fact described in a guide.
